Helen S

Helen is an experienced presentation and media trainer with a background in international broadcasting. She is an award-winning presenter / producer, journalism & broadcast trainer and her experience includes working in news, current affairs & consumer programmes.

Helen has an MA in Voice Studies from Central School of Speech and Drama. She produced and presented programmes for the BBC World Service and Radio 4. She has also provided voice-overs for corporate videos and websites and has appeared on television for Children’s BBC and for various news and consumer programmes. Helen also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism, Diplomas in Craniosacral Therapy and Counselling Skills and she is a qualified NLP Practitioner.

Helen has designed and delivered a wide variety of presentation, communication and media courses to corporate groups, charities, telesales staff, broadcasters and drama students. As a journalist she has particular expertise in presentation structure and content, while as the former manager of the BBC’s broadcasting school in Russia, she also specialises in voice training and accent reduction.

As a consultant trainer with Skillstudio, Helen is responsible for delivering our suite of presentation skills workshops as well as conducting one-to-one coaching and in-house training in media skills and vocal technique. Her creative approach to training involves a unique mix of her own experience in broadcasting, journalism, voice work, NLP, physical therapies and science.
